Community Video / Citizen Journalism Competition

 "Citizen Journalism" or Participatory Journalism is an evolving form of journalism through user generated content. When any common man in his capacity as a citizen of a nation takes up the initiative to report things or express his views about happenings around him then the occurrence is popularly termed as citizen journalism or participatory journalism. The objective of this competition is to encourage people to take advantage of the powerful medium that citizen journalism provides and use it to highlight issues of social relevance.

Rules and Regulations
• The duration of the video should be between 3-5 minutes
• One participant may send upto 2 entries. Each entry may be submitted by a maximum of 2 participants
• The format of the video can be decided by the participant. It can be, for example, an interview or documentary-like
• The issues depicted should be socially relevant. E.g. Garbage disposal, child labour
• The video should be uploaded to YouTube and the link alone must be sent to us. Ensure that the video is of proper resolution for full-screen display
• The application can be emailed to indialiesinyou@gmail.com and will consist of: 
           o Your name
           o Date of Production of video 
           o Your mailing address 
           o The YouTube Link to your video 
           o The last date of application is 31st Dec. 2009
